Rathi Ravi is the Democratic and Working Families Party candidate for the open District 6 seat, which covers part of Amherst; the current legislator, Christopher D. Greene, is not on the ballot¹². His campaign site describes him as a community advocate and lists winter pothole repair on county roads, accountability for county fleet vehicles and lower county taxes as priorities⁴. He is endorsed by the Erie County Democratic Committee and faces Republican Edward A. Rath III²³.
