Candidate

Randy Ray is an independent candidate for the two at-large seats on the Jasper County Board of Supervisors¹. The county lists the current supervisors as Doug Cupples, Thad Nearmyer and Brandon Talsma, so he is not an incumbent². In a 2024 newspaper Q&A for an earlier supervisor race, he described himself as a lifelong Newton resident, farmer and small business owner, and said he wanted a plan for improving gravel roads and had reservations about a proposed $6.4 million bond for a county road department facility³. No 2026 questionnaire or campaign site was found.
