Nancy Miller has been mayor of Daytona Beach Shores since 2018, was reelected in 2022, is past chair of the Volusia County Elected Officials Roundtable and president of the Florida League of Mayors2. She finished first in the Aug. 18, 2026 three-candidate primary for the open at-large seat with 41.6% and faces Mike Poniatowski on Nov. 31. She names flooding as her top priority and co-chairs a countywide stormwater mitigation and flooding committee2.
