Mujtaba Mohammed has represented District 38 in Mecklenburg County in the North Carolina Senate since 201912. He is an attorney with a bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte and a law degree from North Carolina Central University, and Gov. Roy Cooper appointed him to the state Council on Developmental Disabilities and the Task Force for Racial Equity in Criminal Justice23.
