Kamia Brown served in the Florida House for District 45 from 2016 to 2022 and ran unsuccessfully for the Florida Senate in 20223. She finished first in the Aug. 18, 2026 nonpartisan primary for District 2 with 30.5% and faces Mike Crabb on Nov. 31.
