- Voted for Resolution 2021-929 adopting the commission's new district map, approved 4 to 1 on November 4, 20214. In September 2025 a federal district judge ruled that the 2021 plan violated the Fourteenth Amendment's protection against racial gerrymandering5. The county, which contends the districts were not drawn because of race, appealed6, and on October 16, 2025 a divided 11th Circuit panel stayed the injunction, leaving the 2021 map in place while the appeal proceeds7.
