Eric Flores grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, served as an infantry officer in the Texas Army National Guard, and was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Texas¹. He is a litigation partner at a Texas law firm and previously served as a city attorney and municipal judge¹. He won the March 3, 2026 Republican primary with 56.7 percent of the vote; he is not Mayra Flores, who finished second³.
