Macalik is the Rockwall County Commissioner for Precinct 2; the county website says she took office January 1, 2023, after serving on the Rockwall City Council from 2017 to 2022 and as CEO of the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce from 20112. In her 2025 re-election announcement she said she would focus on sustainable growth, planning and infrastructure3. She is the only candidate on the November 3, 2026 ballot for County Commissioner Precinct 21.
