Chris Nocco is the Pasco County Sheriff, a post he has held since Governor Rick Scott appointed him in 2011, and he earlier worked in school, county and sheriff's law enforcement and on the staff of the Florida House1. He is the Republican nominee in the November 3, 2026 special election for Florida Senate District 21 against Democrat Jordan Hensley; he has not served in the Legislature, so his positions below come from his actions as sheriff12.
