His Senate biography says he is a Lubbock CPA, served in the Texas House from 2010 to 2014 and the Senate since 2014, chairs the Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture, and Rural Affairs and is Vice-Chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee2.
