Arthur Griffin is an at-large Mecklenburg County commissioner, first elected in 20222. He served 17 years on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, including as chair from 1997 to 2002, later worked as a senior vice president at McGraw-Hill Education, and is a retired Army lieutenant colonel who served in Vietnam2.
