- Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Place 2 (Harris County), since January 1, 20231
- First elected in 2022: he finished second in the March 2022 Democratic primary and won the May 2022 runoff with 53.6%, and the general election was canceled for lack of an opponent1. - Public discipline: Public Admonition and Order of Additional Education, State Commission on Judicial Conduct, CJC Nos. 24-0092, 24-0789 & 24-0890, issued April 23, 2026. The Commission found that Judge Duble terminated two court-ordered receiverships (the Cruz and Smith cases) without giving notice to the parties or holding a hearing, and that he failed to timely hold personal-property exemption hearings within the ten days required by the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure in about ten cases (seven during his first six months in office and three pending from his predecessor's term). Judge Duble acknowledged the lapses, said they were an oversight rather than a misunderstanding of the law, and stated he had since held timely hearings in all such matters. The Commission found this violated Canons 2A, 3B(2) and 3B(8) of the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct and ordered a public admonition plus two hours of additional education with a mentor; no suspension or removal was ordered2.
